Hello my name is ELSA and I would like to tell you my story.

I am a beautiful fluffy girl of medium size and currently living at the Bark Ark Shelter in Bosnia. My sister Ana who looks very much like me and is also looking for her very own forever home and I are sharing the same story. We have always shared the same pen since we were pups, but we know that it's difficult to find a home for us both together.

When we were only little puppies we were discarded onto the streets like rubbish. Nobody wanted us or helped us while we were living on the streets. It was very traumatic for us and we had no idea where our mum was. All we had was each other to cling to. It’s a memory we try to forget. We felt lonely and confused. And there was nothing to eat or drink!

Our lucky day arrived when Bojan’s kind wife saw us, picked us up and took us into foster. We were really young back then, cute and full of hope... but sadly nobody offered us a home… So we grew up more and once old enough we came to live in the big Bark Ark Shelter. It’s very busy here and there is never enough attention to go around for all of us. We grew up here into the gorgeous adult dogs we are today and have never experience much of life at all.

The years went by and we waited and waited, always hoping… but nobody ever came for us. After over 4 years in here we are now long termers at the rescue shelter… waiting still… wondering if this is all there is for us in life. It’s all we have ever known, but we have heard Paws2Freedom want to help us change our lives. We will be living in a far away country called England. They say it’s nice there and people love dogs like us. We cannot wait to go and pray that someone will offer each of us a our very own forever home where we can learn all about what life can be. We can finally have fun, adventure and lots of love. But please be patient with me and take it real slow. I don't know any of the things you consider normal. House training will be easy, but the rest may be a bit daunting for me.

If you would like to apply for giving me my forever home, please complete an application form as a first step.

But please bear in mind that I am advertized on other sites too and I hope that you understand that there may be more than one application to my name by the time you have completed yours for me.

Please enjoy my photos below. They show me in the shelter, but I hope you will see enough of me to fall in love and want to give me a chance. I have been waiting so long now.

If you would like to support me a bit I would be ever so grateful. Your donation will help so much and every penny counts. This is a big rescue mission for such a small charity and they can't do it without you. If you could mark your kind giving with ‘Bosnian Dogs’ your funds will be put towards my costs or that of another dog like me.

Thank you so much from my happy heart and fluffy paws ~ Love, Ana ♥
