Hello, my name is BENJI and this is how I came to live at the bosnian shelter BARK ARK ...
I am only little and a young boy too. As you can see I am cute and fluffy. The photos show me on my day of rescue and also after when I am in the shelter. I have started my life in the city of Teslic where I was part of a group of street dogs scraping for food.
I cannot quite remember as I was only a baby back then, but someone must have abandoned my mum most likely because she was pregnant and they did not want the costs of spaying, keeping dogs safe nor they did not want to be bothered with pups when it happened. So there we were,... left to fight for ourselves and I grew up on the streets where I never knew what the next day would bring. Would I have food, would someone poison me? But then my luck changed when I was found by this lovely caring man called Bojan who saved my life. He picked me up and took me to his shelter. It’s busy here. There are so many other dogs living here too. It’s busy and noisy, but I am feeling so lucky to be safe now. I have food and care. Things are looking up for me and I have much hope in my heart now.
I heard them say that Paws2Freedom is a doggy rescue in the UK and they want me to come to them so they can find me a loving forever home. Oh wouldn’t that be wonderful! My very own home. And forever too! No more fear, no more hunger and I will be truly wanted. Yes please, I can’t wait!
I am currently still in Bosnia, but soon after the borders open again and travel can be arranged I will be leaving for a brighter future. I will come to Paws2Freedom in Cornwall/Devon and will be looking for a home in this area after my assessment.
If you would like to support me a bit, your kind gift will be gratefully received.
Thank you with all my heart and all 4 fluffy paws for helping a little street dog like me. Love, woofs and kisses from me, Benji x
Thank you for reading Benji's story.
