DANA - Mixed Breed

Size: 40 cm approx shoulder height

Sex: female

Age: 3 years approx (August 22)

Neutered: yes

Vaccinated: yes

Microchipped: yes

Child friendly: yes, but only older children 10+ who know and respect a dog's boundaries

Dog friendly: yes, in fact she is very social and she needs another dog to share her life with who can be a playmate and also a role model for Dana

Cat friendly: not tested, but does have a chase instinct as most dogs have

Temperament/Unique traits: very lovely girl, friendly and playful. Cheeky and can be 'full on' at times. Dana can be a minx and has a mind of her own. Needs a secure garden. Full of young energy and adores people and attention. Absolutely fine to be left when with another dog and she's been wonderful with that in her foster home. Needs someone who can also be firm as she likes to push you to see how far she can go.  Loves toys especially tug and ropes.

Behaviour/Training needs: basic obedience training and boundaries

House trained: yes

Blood tested: has tested negative for brucelliosis canis, leishmans, heartworm, lyme disease, anaplasmosis and ehrlichia before travel. UK vet check passed.

Rescue story: Dana came from the city of Sanski Most where she was picked up as an abandoned street dog who was considered unsightly trash and therefore in danger of poisoning. Poor girl 😢

Ideal Home: Would love to live with an active family/person/couple who can give her the time and attention she needs. A dog for company, as a playmate and role model would be lovely. Even though Dana appears to be quite confident she has an insecure side too and will need sufficient time and patience to settle into her new environment. Dana would not be happy in a really busy town environment. She likes village life, the countryside and beach.
