BARK ARK RESCUE SHELTER DOGS

We are hoping that all these gorgeous Bark Ark Rescue Shelter dogs will find their homes soon. They are in UK foster now and up for adoption in Cornwall/Devon.

DANA - Mixed Breed

Sex:  female
Age: 3 years approx (August 22)
Neutered:  yes
Vaccinated:  yes
Microchipped:  yes
Child friendly: yes, but only older children 10+ who know and respect a dog's boundaries
Dog friendly: yes
Cat friendly: not tested, but quite likely
Temperament/Unique traits: very lovely girl, friendly and playful. Cheeky and full on at times. Full of young energy and adores people and attention
Behaviour/Training needs: to be assessed
House trained: yes
Blood tested: has tested negative for brucelliosis canis, leishmans, heartworm, lyme disease, anaplasmosis and ehrlichia before travel. UK vet check to be booked.

Rescue story: Dana came from the city of Sanski Most where she was picked up as an abandoned street dog who was considered unsightly trash and therefore in danger of poisoning. Poor girl :'(

ROXI - Pulin Cross (Balkan Collie)

Size: 50 cm approx shoulder height
Sex:  female
Age: 8 years approx (August 22)
Neutered:  yes
Vaccinated:  yes
Microchipped:  yes
Child friendly: yes, but as Roxi is already slightly older we would prefer a home without children or older children for her who know and respect a dog's boundaries.
Dog friendly: yes and would love to live with a companion dog as her role model and playmate
Cat friendly: not tested
Temperament/Unique traits: calm and sweet natured, very shy at first and needs time to adjust. She took a week to gain trust and settle into her foster home in the UK before the real dog started emerging. Roxi has now found her playful side, the sofa and her foster family has discovered Roxy's tendency to counter surf and raid bins if given the chance. Roxi loves chasing a ball and run around with her fellow foster sister Dana.
Behaviour/Training needs: not assessed, but will most likely need basic training. Given that she lived on a sheep farm and considering her breed she may have been trained to round up sheep and keep the flock together.
House trained:  yes
Blood tested: has tested negative for brucelliosis canis, leishmans, heartworm, lyme disease, anaplasmosis and ehrlichia before travel and UK vet check to be booked.

Rescue story: Roxi belonged to a sheep farm and was abandoned. This is how she ended up in the Bark Ark rescue shelter.
